Iulia Hensley, LAc, EAMP, NTP

Nutritional Therapy Practitioner | 5 Element Certified Acupuncturist

Common Sense Nutrition is a nutrition and acupuncture practice founded by Iulia Hensley, a certified Nutritional Therapist Practitioner and Licensed Acupuncturist with a traditional western medical education.

Formal Training

Iulia received her M.D. from Bucharest University of Medicine - Carol Davila. Carol Davila University is an advanced research and education university created as part of the University of Bucharest in 1857.

A Holistic Approach

Personal experience gained after moving to the U.S. helped Iulia understand that the allopathic medicine has its limitations, mostly as a result of medical disciplines' narrow view of the human body, with each medical specialist focusing on very specific areas, rather than the body as a whole.

"An expert is one who knows more and more about less and less until he knows absolutely everything about nothing." ― Nicholas Butler

Professional Certifications

Iulia carries certifications in Nutritional Therapy, Nutrition Response Testing (NRT), Autonomic Response Testing (ART), Acupuncture, the Weston A. Price approach to nutrition, and many other facets that relate to the most complex being on Earth, the Human Being.

All these endeavors have been guided and recognized by her mentor Dr. Dietrich Klinghardt MD, Ph.D., founder of the Klinghardt Academy (USA), the American Academy of Neural Therapy, Medical Director of the Institute of Neurobiology, and lead clinician at the Sophia Health Institute, located in Woodinville, Washington.

When you work with Iulia you get the best of both worlds - a traditional, western medical education and the best evidence-based holistic practices.

"My son met the ADD stereotype and was put on medication. I watched him struggle to focus, complete simple tasks, handle multiple directions and keep his body calm at home and school.

Most days included severe nausea, congestion, and headaches followed by incessant crying as he begged for help. Through tears, I would force the pills hoping that today would be a better day. Such days were rare.

Through an acquaintance, I found Common Sense Nutrition. We saw immediate improvement. He’s now excelling at school, in sports and socially - something I could not have said prior to his meeting Iulia. The majority of nausea, headaches, and congestion are gone after just two weeks of working the program. My son grows stronger each day, and this mamma couldn’t be more grateful.
